The choice of narrating the events via cutscenes in slideshow-styled 16-bit animations might not like it to everyone, but it's done very well and fits the game's vintage theme. Humour never exceeds, it's never boring and allows the plot to keep the dignity of taking itself seriously just enough.
Characters are ridiculous but credible and make fun of themselves and the pop culture upon which the plot itself rests. Its writing based on 1980s grand American sci-fi cinema works incredibly well. Blood Dragon's plot it's a witty and irreverent yet intriguing and brilliant sci-fi tale. Unfortunately, in some cases, their potential is foolishly undermined by non-ignorable major flaws.
